Steelpan is born in Trinidad and Tobago, an island country floating in the Caribbean Sea, and is said to be the last acoustic instrument in the 20th century. It is formed by people who are fascinated by the tone that is so sweet and clear that you don't think it's made of drums. Members range from junior high school students to their 50s and families, and various occupations such as caregivers, childcare workers and carpenters gather. There is a reputation for a stage that is always conscious of “fascinating and listening”, including choreography by music. Have a dedicated practice area (panyard) and improve your skills by improving your music every day. 1995
Held a steel drum class for one month with Brian Bluemant (Renegays) as an instructor.
Sukiyaki Steel Orchestra (SSO) was born at the 5th Sukiyaki Meets the World.

1996

1997
Expedition to Steel drum home Trinidad and Tobago (February). Fukuno Elementary School Steel Drum Club is born (April).

coba composed SSO's first original song "Incontrismo"
