“Hosono Building” is the former headquarters of “Hosono-gumi”, which has been involved in the development of Osaka Port, Midosuji, Ashiya, Rokutanso and many other public works in the modernization of Japan.
Hosono Building is a modernist style building near Nishi-Nagahori Subway Station.
A historic building completed in 1936 as the head office of “Hosono-gumi”. After renovation work of the solitary army by the third generation owner, the majority of the building is provided as an art space.
The first “66” exhibition was held on June 6, 2003 at 6: 6: 6 PM.
It is used as an information transmission base for contemporary art in numerous solo exhibitions, live events and concerts.
